MACRO PHOTOS OF MATERIALS

PREPARATION

A printable set of instructions or video tutorials on the use of a pocket digital microscope in different languages may be helpful.

DESCRIPTION

  1. Prepare all materials on the table: digital microscope, mobile phone clip, objects to observe

  2. Press the LED button to turn on the microscope light

  3. Position the specimen under the microscope lens

  4. Use the focusing ring and zoom wheel to get the desired result

  5. One may need a second person to take a picture

  6. Attach the clip to the mobile phone camera

  7. Connect the clip to the microscope eyepiece -

  8. Use the settings of your smartphone application to get the desired image -

  9. Take a photo or record a video of "walking" on an object -

  10. Transfer images or video clips to a computer

TIPS AND RECOMMANDATIONS

One can use the micro lens of a smartphone or a magnifying glass to get a closer look at objects. In the case of a magnifying glass, it may be necessary to draw the image on a piece of paper to be scanned later to be transferred to the digital format if necessary, or to take a photo with any camera available to the participants.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

The microscopic images allow participants to look at the objects from a different angle, discovering new shapes and "landscapes" that bring back memories of the past. It helps to connect the past with the present.
